Born in Hampton in 1975, Iverson was a two-sport high-school star before playing college basketball at Georgetown.

The No. 1 overall pick in 1996, he became the face of the Philadelphia 76ers, an eleven-time All-Star and one of the greatest scorers pound-for-pound in NBA history.
