Born Robert Diggs and raised between Brooklyn and Staten Island, New York, RZA immersed himself in kung-fu cinema, chess, and Five-Percenter philosophy as a youth, developing the conceptual vision that would lead him to assemble and mastermind the Wu-Tang Clan.
