Raised in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn, Bashar Jackson rose rapidly out of the emerging Brooklyn drill scene with a deep, commanding voice.

Career

His breakout "Welcome to the Party" and the mixtape "Meet the Woo" made him drill's biggest star before his murder in 2020; his posthumous album "Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon" debuted at number one.

Major achievements

His posthumous debut topped the Billboard 200 and spawned the smash "What You Know Bout Love," cementing his commercial breakthrough.
